Our Clients

 Since the beginning MFC has trained more than 1,200 participants, here is the sample list of our clients:

1. GTZ (RDMA project in Bokeo, Xayaboury, Luang Numtha provinces) - Training and Consulting.
2. AFD/CCL, PDDP project, currently known as IFDP Microfinance Institution - Training and Consulting.
3. IFAD Project in Oudomxay Province, Training and organize Microfinance Study tour to Cambodia.
4. Lao Luxembourg Development Project, Training and Microfinance Study tour to Philippines.
5. Many International NGOs and Bilateral Projects send their staff to MFC training. A partial list of participants includes World Vision, Concern Worldwide, Oxfam Australia, Danish Red Cross, Lao Belgium Technical Cooperation, SNV, FAO, handicap International, World Concern, etc.
6. All registered MFI in Lao PDR.  The training such as Microbanker software, accounting were done as partnership with Catalyst Microfinance for the poor project.  Currently, there are 21 microfinance institutions in Lao PDR get both technical and grant support from this project.

 

MFC also provides consulting services. A sample of client list includes:

1. Setting up three Savings and Credit Unions in Savanakhet and Khamoun provinces, The project funded by Rabobank Foundation. Implement by MFC and support by SNV Lao. From March 2007 to March 2009
2. Technical Support IFDP Microfinance Institution in Phongsaly Province from July 2006 to December 2007.
3. Provide consultant and capacity building for Nam Ngum River Basin development Sector Project. The contract is signed with Asia Development Bank from October 2007 to present.
4. Provide consultant and capacity building for Enhancing Capacity of Local Government Agencies and Lao Women's Union for Sustainable Poverty Reduction in Northern Lao project.  The contract is signed with Asia Development Bank from January  2009  to present.
5. Provide support and development of a Microfinance Institution for project LAO/412 Oudomxay Communities Inititatives Support Project.    This project funded by LUX-Development.  MFC together with CARD MRI went for tendering process and  got award to implemented for one year.  This project started on January 2010.
6. Provide technical support to LCSDPA to initiate, prepare and plan the process of registration of selected village banks to the Bank of Lao PDR. This is a short assignment provided to International Labour Organization (ILO) that MFC carried out a rapid assessment for village bank and make a recommendation and plan for the registration with Bank of Lao PDR.

Australian Youth Ambassadors for Development Program: in the past two years, MFC has received two volunteers from AYA to Support MFC staff capacity building and develop more curriculums. 

 

Mekoxab Business Consulting Company: collaboration on providing Business Edge Training for MFIs and SCUs.

 

CARD MRI : Strategic Partnership on capacity building for the microfinance sector and project partner for OCISP.

 

Planet Finance: MFC work as project partner in Laos for Asia Invest project. Project Goal is to match European investors’ financing capacities with Asian Microfinance Institutions’ financing needs.

 

Sparkassenstiftung für internationale Kooperation: Institutional development and implementing a medium to long-term training strategy, the project start on November 2008.
