The Microfinance Center (MFC) is a specialist provider of high quality microfinance training and consulting services. Our mission is to assist in the development of sustainable financial services for the poor of Lao PDR.We believe that microfinance, when applied appropriately, is a powerful tool for poverty reduction. Our team of microfinance professionals are experts in the application to microfinance to Lao PDR, with extensive knowledge and experience. We understand the microfinance regulatory environment, local challenges and have extensive experience in implementing the full range of microfinance models found throughout Lao PDR. We use this knowledge and experience to make lasting and substantial contributions towards the success our clients’ microfinance activities. We constantly strive to exceed our clients’ expectations.

The Microfinance Center has distinguished itself as an industry leader in the Lao PDR microfinance Sector. Over 600 individuals have passed through our training programs since 2004, going on to use their new skills and knowledge for the improvement of the Lao PDR microfinance sector. Our training adopts adult learning, group participation and interactive learning techniques that lead to better outcomes for participants.
